A leading national distributor of peripherals and consumer electronics needed strategic human resources support to complement its management team since they did not have human resources department. They needed help with benefit plan management, personnel issue resolution, management training, organizational design and compensation.

We act as the company’s Vice President of Human Resources. We are on-site weekly and available as needed to work with management, resolve employee issues, conduct training, manage special initiatives, monitor compliance and government filings and consult on a wide range of issues.

New management took over a family-run company in the hospitality industry. Previously, there had been no formal HR function. There were many challenges including compliance, high turnover, workplace issues and lack of HR policies and practices.

A regional school board wanted to be sure they were receiving the best service and financial arrangement for their health care programs. They were very concerned about the rising cost of health care.

We were hired as consultants to develop a five-year health care strategy and look for opportunities for cost savings. We helped to reduce the cost of benefit programs by introducing new financing and delivery options, improving the financial relationship with the insurance carrier while maintaining competitive
coverage levels and developing and executing a long-term union negotiation strategy.

A nationally recognized hospital was transitioning their retirement program from a defined benefit pension plan to a defined contribution plan to align its programs with national trends.

We were hired to manage the communication process, which included developing a communication strategy, developing print materials, creating individual modeling tools and personalized benefit statements, conducting group and individual employee meetings and coordinating with actuarial, compliance, finance and legal teams.
